An individual has a basic right to have a healthy life – B.P. Koirala

B.P. Koirala’s words, “It is the natural right of people to live healthy,” have long inspired us. In a less developed country like ours, it became clear that the government alone could not ensure quick and universal access to health services. Limited economic capacity and underdeveloped infrastructure posed significant barriers to this vital goal.
Amidst these challenges, B.P. Smriti Hospital was established in 2063–64 BS, during a time of national transformation as Nepal embraced republican democracy. It was a period of hope, determination, and a strong collective desire to bring about meaningful change.
In this spirit, and through the collaboration and dedication of like-minded individuals, the B.P. Smriti Community Co-operative Hospital Limited was founded. Its mission is to serve the community and help improve access to quality health care across the country.
